The Road Angel is not simply a speedtrap device but a safety system which is also programmed with identified accident blackspots and danger zones which you are alerted to by using the Global Positioning Satellite system.
Road Angel is designed to provide you with instant critical information to enhance the safety of your journey. Using the latest GPS technology and the most comprehensive database of countrywide danger areas, Road Angel compares your position to that of known danger spots and fixed speed cameras. When nearing a location the units audible alarm sounds and the two tone LCD display shows the type of hazard and proximity.

How It Works
DATABASE
The Road Angel database is split into four areas, namely Fixed, Mobile, Average and Blackspot. The LCD display shows which area you are approaching and you can also store your own and new locations to any menu area.
FIXED
For permanently sited Gatso and Truvelo cameras
MOBILE
For temporary mobile cameras (often motorway roadworks) or user known laser sites
AVERAGE
For SPECS average speed detection cameras
BLACKSPOT
Police and Local Authority designated repeat accident areas - take extra care
ADVANCED WARNING
When approaching a known danger zone, the LCD display turns from green to red and the type of danger is highlighted. The bar counter starts to count up as the danger area gets closer. An audible tone is emitted, the frequency increasing with proximity. Once the location is passed the unit returns to its standby green display .
EASY UPDATES
With the number of speeding cameras set to dramatically increase and accident data changing constantly, work is constantly on-going to verify new locations and delete obsolete ones. These changes are easily updated to your ROAD ANGEL with the supplied software (Windows PC required). The first year of updates is free of charge with an annual subscription thereafter of £49. The updating software and your first years free subscription is sent when you return the warranty registration card.
PERSONALISATION
The standard settings can all be user adjusted. New locations can be stored, current locations deleted, warning range and volume adjusted or muted and various other features.
Motorcycle Compatible
As the Road Angel uses GPS technology it does not need a clear line of site to see straight ahead and then therefore be mounted on the body of motorcycles. It also comes with a standard earpiece socket and dont forget it's fully portable. Please note however that you need to wire it into the bikes electrics for power.
New Laser Sensor
You can now get a laser sensor for the Road Angels to help protect you against those mobile laser traps. The sensor unit simply plugs into the back of the Road Angel and suckers against the windscreen. Laser technology is used in most handheld guns and these are also commonly mounted on tripods and point out the back of police vans. Laser is not an always on signal, only being generated when the police pull the trigger, but if the cars infront are having their speed checked then this should give you some warning.
