The ultimate bit of kit! If you want something clean and smart to look at, but at the same time fun to play with, look no further. The touch screen is a unique feature, which makes it look more like a navigation device than an alert system. Its database is unrivalled, being from the same stable as the Geodesy, the original GPS device. With a database as established as this, you can be sure there will be no missing cameras round the corner to surprise you. RoadPilot knows the speed limit, and displays it on the screen as a nifty little speed limit sign. If you're going over the limit where there's a trap a husky woman tells you to “slow down.” Frequently used mobile traps are also included on the database, and you can download congestion charge camera sites free, making it a product that stands out from the rest. RoadPilot is also able to help you avoid the charge, as it'll tell you how far away from the charging zone you are, meaning you can skirt around it without paying a penny. More databases are currently on the drawing board. You can enter your own way-points for personal use, so you could build up your own database of petrol stations or pubs. We found satellite contact constant, a rarely found bonus.
RoadPilot has a unique mounting support, with a goose-neck stalk attaching the brushed metal touch screen to the windscreen. The antenna is remote, so you can mount it somewhere permanently either on the inside or outside of your car.
The RoadPilot is stuffed full of extra features that you don't find on other speed camera alert systems. As you drive around it'll draw its own map of your route, and if you do some business and some personal mileage on your car, its Mileage Manager will count up the data separately. All this information can be downloaded onto your PC if you have the compatible (Microsoft) software so you can do your own number crunching. Also available, if you travel on the continent is a Benelux upgrade, which has data on these countries in addition to the standard UK mainland package.
If this isn't good enough, also available is a radar detector head attachment. This is just as powerful as the best radar detectors, and mounts discreetly behind the front grille out of the way, feeding back to you through the RoadPilot touch screen.
RoadPilot is the bees knees, the dogs proverbials, and the most stylish product - at a price.
